Legislative Instrument – IMMI 2016/012 – F2016L00625 – Specification of Visas Attracting a Subsequent Temporary Application Charge, specifies in Schedule 1 the subclasses of visas, that when lodged in Australia while the applicant is the holder of a visa listed in Schedule 2, attract a subsequent temporary application charge.

This Instrument removes the soon to be superseded Student visa subclasses 570, 571, 572, 573, 575 and 580 from Schedule 1 and adds the new Student visa subclasses 500 (Student) and 590 (Student Guardian) to Schedule 1.

The new Student visa subclasses 500 (Student) and 590 (Student Guardian) are also added to Schedule 2, with the effect that an applicant applying for a Subclass 500 or 590 visa in Australia, while currently holding a Subclass 500 or 590 visa will also attract the subsequent temporary application charge.

This Instrument revokes IMMI 14/091 and commences on 1 July 2016
