Australia’s humanitarian program increases to 18,750 starting from 2018-19
The Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has just announced that Australia’s humanitarian visa program will add another 5,000 places starting from 2018-19. This will take the total number of visa granted in the humanitarian program to 18,750 per year.

Visas attracting a subsequent temporary application charge
Legislative Instrument – IMMI 2016/012 – F2016L00625 – Specification of Visas Attracting a Subsequent Temporary Application Charge, specifies in Schedule 1 the subclasses of visas, that when lodged in Australia while the applicant is the holder of a visa listed in Schedule 2, attract a subsequent temporary application charge.
Classes of persons affected by education provider default – not required to pay first instalment of VAC
Legislative Instrument – IMMI 16/015 – F2016L00628 – Migration Regulations 1994 – Class of Persons specifies the classes of persons applying for Student (Temporary) Class TU visas who are not required to pay the first instalment of the visa application charge.
